If it is possible...

The ball is always in your court.   Right?

When It comes to relationships, it is.  Waiting for someone else to continue a relationship just means you might be waiting forever, and waiting for someone to resolve a relationship also means it might never be resolved.

The apostle Paul in Romans 12 tells us this:   If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

There are unreconcilable relationships.  We’ve all experienced a few.  But it is clear in this verse that it is your responsibility…. it is my responsibility…. to make sure, as far as it depends on you (me) to live at peace with everyone.

Is there someone you are not living at peace with?  Do you need to do something about that?  Stop waiting for the other person to make the first move.  It’s not up to them — it’s clearly up to you.

Hard words, I know, but they aren’t mine, they are Paul’s.  Take it up with him :-)
