#NotTodaySatan

Yesterday a coworker sent me an email in response to my devotional using the hashtag #nottodaysatan.

I hadn’t seen that before and I like it.

When it comes right down to it the battles that we fight really aren’t, contrary to popular belief, against the people or the problems in our lives.  The battle is in the spiritual realm.

Ephesians 6:12 (ESV) tells us this very clearly.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

One of the tactics most used by the enemy is to divide us Christians and plot them against each other, convincing us that the other folks are the enemy.

Let’s remember this and fight against these cosmic powers together — not with each other.

And here’s a song to take us back in time.  Anyone remember this one?

You might as well get behind me Satan — you cannot prevail!
