Third time ...I hope we never go through this again. Third time is a charm, right?<BR/>Last weekend was our little towns celebration and the street dance was Saturday night. This is the same celebration Micah and Jake ran off to last year that started all our crap. I'll probably have PTSD my whole life when this celebration rolls around.Sunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04914082229939697262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11190188.post-81620315792060518832008-07-17T18:00:00.000-05:002008-07-17T18:00:00.000-05:00Wow, good post and so right on!! About a year ago...Wow, good post and so right on!! About a year ago I went through this with my now 14 yo son. He's lived with us since he was 10 mos. old and he's been difficult since day one. My anger at his behavior, coupled with the lack of understanding from professionals (he's FASD and RAD) combined to make me look like a very uncaring mother and that's not the case at all. When you work so hard for so long and don't see any positive changes (that last) it wears you down so much. Emotionally you are at an all time low and then you have to defend yourself? You have to explain why you look angry when you're talking to the teacher for the 10th time about not giving your son food all the time. When you say, "please don't give him candy, he obsesses about it" and they do it anyway and then YOU get called in because you must have too many children to adequately parent this one? Well, being at the end of my rope seems to be code for kick her when she's down. People with two kids can complain incessantly about their kids and no one notices, but if you CHOOSE to have a large family - watch out!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14612523674452864077noreply@blogger.com
