Sometimes I don't realize I am doing it until I am almost into a pity party.

I have been trying to teach my RAD daughter these same skills. I have noticed her beginning to self talk - which is HUGE! We also keep a gratitude journal and I have covered the door to her room with pictures of fun things she has been able to do. This was all new to her when she first came to live with us. A complete lack of coping skills are what I would consider her main diagnosis to be. It has been a joy to watch her gain some of these skills.

Thank you for the reminder and encouragement today.Life's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06558611661845728409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11190188.post-80342245056797154502010-01-08T07:36:49.761-06:002010-01-08T07:36:49.761-06:00My gratitude journal keeps me sane. It helps me and helps the kids to see written proof of their blessings.

Self talk is huge too. Some days it's "I CAN do this for 5 more minutes." ;)Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16146320008307628429noreply@blogger.com
