Bart makes fun of my optimistic disposition. He says that he is a realist....
I have talked to two of my friends today who are having a very hard time. I won't tell you their names, but you may know them through the blogosphere....
I was explaining to Bart how awful things were for them. I said, "See, our lives aren't that bad!"
His response, "Not Yet."
Sigh.

Boy, that "not yet" is way to pessimistic. It looks like you need to lift him up a little. (you probably do that a lot anyway)
Are your husband and mine long lost brothers or something? And you and I long lost sisters? That's exactly how our marriage is too...and it's so frustrating sometimes, but in my optimist attitude, it won't be frustrating for long. :)

My husband says "there is a fine line between optimistic and delusional" - funny, but true. I thought I was optimistic, but the reality is that I was holding tightly on to my delusions and hoping my kids would "grow out of" a lot of things. Not happening.
