On Being Married to a Cynic
This morning I awakened feeling quite good compared to the last few weeks and said to my husband, "Isn't it great to wake up in the morning and be alive?"
To which he responded, "I've never known anything else."
Cynic...realist...or comic? How COULD you wake up and be anything else? I guess you had to be there, to catch his tone of voice. OK, you've convinced me that Bart is not an "invisible rev", but the verdict is still out as to which of the above three he truly is. Glad his wife is feeling much better, though we can't have her being winded, that's for sure!
