Second Day of the New Year

I could find a whole lot of things to complain about over the last 24 hours, but I’m just going to let them go. Today has been a fairly decent day for me, so I’ll focus on that.

I agreed to take Mike to a friends house today if he followed our family guidelines (I have to confirm with a parent that adults will be home). I think he was shocked at how easy it was to get permission for something he used to believe he had to sneak to do. Bart has left to take Kyle back to school and the rest of the kids are being pretty mellow.

I’m trying to parent and work, which usually doesn’t work so well, but at least for this moment, things are fairly calm. Dominyk and Ricardo are borrowing snow from the neighbors yards. Hope they don’t mind. Our yard of course, in their opinion, doesn’t have enough.
