Oh The Drama

And to think I was hoping to go to bed without another crisis.

I am not going to blog much about this or give much detail, because it involved the one who when she is angry claims she doesn’t want her name on our blog. The rest of us went to a movie last night, and I trusted her to stay home alone for 50 minutes until Kyle got off work. Instead she took a phone call asking her to come to the park to meet some people to resolve some argument that Sadie had had with their cousin the day before.

So, without permission, she went to the park and apparently a fight broke out and she was hurt (not seriously, but I think she was terrified). These are “friends” she met while at the park with John. I had let her go to their home, but after last night’s “conversation” with their mother, that won’t ever happen again. She really let me have it ... I’m sure that somewhere between her daughters’ story and my daughters’ story there is truth, but based on the character of my girls I think their story is a little closer to the truth.

i’m sorry this had to happen, but maybe a lesson or two were learned. Maybe I’m not over-cautious and too strict and unreasonable. Maybe I’m just trying to keep my naive kids safe in a new town.

If she thought she saw over-cautious, too strict and unreasonable, she ain’t seen nothing yet...

There's no such thing as too strict, too cautious...
