The half hour before supper last night was really something. John was really edgy and Tony was having a meltdown. The other kids were trying to be patient, but they were feeling the stress as well. I was wondering if Mike and Kari were going to actually see a full meltdown vortex. But they did pull it together.
Dominyk whispered to me “I need to talk to you when they leave” soon after he, Tony, Ben and Anna had been on the tramp when Anna started to scream. Tony and Dominyk just froze, staring at her, wondering what to do. THey finally looked into the house and shrugged their shoulders with the “what did WE do” look on their faces.
Later that night Dominyk said, “Here’s what I needed to tell you, but I wanted to wait until they left. Sometimes Anna is VERY annoying.” I complimented him for waiting until she left and let him know that sometimes he could be annoying to other people too and that we needed to be patient.
I have no PCAs today but it is Bart’s day off, which should alleviate some of the chaos. I’m hoping to get more done than I have the last few days.
