I love Being Wrong

She got in the car. I congratulated her for making a good choice. She was civil. I started to explain the day. She was borderline nice. I ventured into the land of “chit-chat” and she joined me. She was almost nice.

Will things change and everything be hunky dorey from now on? No, of course not. In fact, she is not going to have a great morning -- it turns out her ex-boyfriend is on the same work crew, and she’s dreading being with him.

But we made it through another round of absolute hatred and I came out of it on top. And besides, I lost five pounds. Did I mention that it is impossible to feel bad on a day when you discover something like that?

And by the way, Corey, I had already considered the alarm clock thing and your’e right. She could do that. Fortunately she doesn’t have it tomorrow. I may offer to wake her up IF she is going to be kind, and if not she can do it herself. She often does get up without an alarm.

It’s just nice once and a while to be mentally prepared for a challenge and then have it not be hard at all. Kind of like studying hard for a test and realizing you’re overprepared and the good feeling you get knowing you Aced it.

And I aced it on no sleep -- I may have slept 2 or 3 hours max last night due to the stress. The analogy lives on. I pulled an all nighter preparing for an exam. ;-)
