My Definition of a Near Perfect Day (in my world at least)

This was a near perfect day in so many ways.

Here are some reasons why:

  • I was at the Y by 5 ten and reached my fitness goals

  • I ate healthily but had a few bites of birthday cake as a special treat

  • My husband made a delicious meal

  • I got a lot of my work done

  • I parented patiently and was even fun sometimes

  • I felt good physically

  • I had some of my very favorite people here for dinner and we had fun. Well, I did. I talked a lot and thought I was hilarious.

  • I got several great blog comments and emails giving me good, constructive feedback and encouragement.

  • My children were fairly well behaved almost the entire day.

  • The TV was hardly on in our home today. Everyone kept busy with other things.

  • Celebrating my husband’s birthday reminded me of how great he is. Did I mention how lucky I am or how incredible he is?

  • I had to work things out with Salinda regarding last night’s fiasco and we were able to do so without getting into a huge fight. She received her consequences and did not blame me for her actions. (Miracle)

  • I was able to do something that Salinda appreciated (babysat for her in the morning while she was at work crew so she wouldn’t lose the job in the afternoon.) The kids that joined us had a blast and can’t wait to come back and my kids loved having them here.

  • I got to work on the website some, which I think is very fun.

  • I took a walk with my husband, taking my exercise to over an hour today.

  • I drank all 64 ounces of my water.

  • I feel in control of my life.

  • I feel blessed to have so many people in my life that I love and who love me. Past, present, and future.

  • I am going to bed content and feeling good and looking forward to tomorrow.

Is that enough?
