ONe more quick update
After I posted my desperate post, I talked to my mom and a wonderful friend from church who works at the hospital stopped by. SHe was just what I needed. I feel much better and now I"m going to bed.
there is no way a woman as strong and purposeful as you is going any where. those kids should not be calling unless they have something positive to say. sending a lot of love and positive thinking your way.
Someone take her cell phone away, and hold onto her computer for her, Kari! You stay put and do what you're told, Claudia. Hard for you (any mom)to do that, isn't it!
And I agree that it's time for Salinda to step up to the plate and be the mature young woman she needs to be for you. Maybe she is scared, but that's not helping anyone.
She needs to repeat the phrase, "It's not about me"...over and over until it sticks. She's a mom herself, so she needs to know and live that. Love you Salinda, but it's time to learn to deal with fear and stress more productively. You're a very strong young woman, so I believe you can make the right choices and be of great help and encouragement to your mom.
And you, my friend Claudia, need to repeat the phrase like this, "It's all about me. It's all about me." At this point, under these serious circumstances, that's all you should be thinking about... taking care of yourself, as that teenage doctor tells you to.
Keeping you and your family in my prayers...as well as the medical staff to know what's best.
Hope you had a good night. You are in my prayers!
