Most People Would think...

That mother's day would be a beautiful joyous day for a mother of 12. Not the case. It's stressful and hard adn I don't want it to come.

But Kari blogged so well about it that I should just refer you to her until I'm out of my slump.

Our training was good, but it was hard. Emotional. Tough. Being realistic with families while still attempting to recruit them and not scare them away is tough stuff.

I'm tired. I'm emotionally spent.'

And now I have to plan my day tomorrow that is supposed to be all about me. Sigh.

  1. I'm also in a slump.......and I refuse to plan Mother's Day.....if they won't do it, then just forget it! But we are doing lunch with Kari and gang.....so that's awesome!

  2. Enjoy your day tomorrow. Sometimes you have to fight to make it about you. I only have three children but they tend to forget the Mother's Day should be about mom and they complain about the activities I choose and the restaurants where we eat. My eldest even has the nerve to ask when Children's Day is so he can get presents.
I remind him that every day is Children's Day in our house, what with college tuition, car stuff, fancy clothing that they absolutely "need" and so on. At least the two eldest are working part-time while going to college and the youngest is babysitting but still...
So MAKE the day about you and put an embargo on drama for 24 hours. You deserve it.

  3. Maybe you should plan a runaway day? We do breakfast and gifts early for my wife and then the day is hers. She typically takes off around 10 or so in the morning and we don't see her till later that night!
