Minnesota Weather

When I signed Tony and Ricardo up for football, I figured late in the season there would be some cold games to sit through. What I didn’t plan for was the FIRST game being dreary, rainy and cold. I made it through the first half on the sidelines wrapped in a comforter, but when it started to rain pretty hard, I headed for the van.

The team lost. I forgot my camera, even though I had it all ready to go.

Tony and Jimmy went with to “watch Ricardo play” but spent most of the game arguing with each other and attempting to argue with me.

Until I had this kind of concentration of 11-12 years olds (I have three) I guess I thought the endless arguing was personality based. However, right now I have three who are chronologically on target, and a couple more who are delayed and probably at that age. And all they want to do is argue with every single word that comes out of my mouth. An example is rounding off numbers. For example, if the clock in the van says it is 2:29, and someone in the back asks me what time it is, and I say 2:30 I will get corrected two or three times.

I think I’ll just spend some time with my mouth shut today. A challenge, I’m sure you realize if you know me, but a much better option than having every third word corrected.
