A Late Start to my Day

Went to the Y with Sadie again this morning. It was a good workout. Came back to give Salinda a ride to Work Crew, which I must confess was highly annoying. Not because of Salinda though. We have been there on time twice this week to sit and wait 15 minutes for the crew leader to show up. And today he got there, saw all of us sitting there with our children, AKA juvenile delinquents, and just sat in his car for another 3 minutes. Finished his pop, looked around, obviously not in a hurry at all and unplussed that we had all been waiting. Grr.

Then I started a conference call.

I wanted to highlight something today though. A family I have known since before they adopted their son has a daughter who has a very serious illness which was not diagnosed until after finalization. This is a family who didn’t “sign up” for this, but is handling it quite well. This link will probably only work for today but it tells about their benefit for her. If you read about her disease it is a very scary thing and this family needs all the support they can get. They can especially use support by adoptive families and if you know ANYONE who has a child with the same diagnosis it would be great if you could hook them up. They also having a caring bridge site set up.

If you live near Marshall, MN you should consider attending the benefit I know they would love to connect with any adoptive families out there.
