Wow, it has been another mellow night. I walked again tonight and blogged about the benefits of exercise. But the biggest thing, and I've mentioned it before, is that in this one area, I control my own success.
Everywhere else in my life, things can mess with my plan for success. In my parenting, my kids have that dang thing God gave them called free will. And parenting 9 teenagers at once, regardless of how good they are, is quite a task.
And in my jobs, I have so little control over outcomes that it is pathetic. When you work with people, you can't make anyone do anything. Oftentimes all you can do is watch and sigh.
But when it comes to diet and exercise, I'm in charge. I decide how and when and how long I work out. I decide what, where, and how much I eat. And when I am successful, it's me I can congratulate.
I know you are tired of hearing about this. I know I'm getting overly personal and not interesting. But I am so excited about how much this one thing is changing my life that I want other people to join me.
i was the worst candidate ever for this kind of transformation. And yet it is happening. One day at a time.

I like hearing about your new mission for good health. I think you are doing an excellent job and are very motivating! Please don't stop blogging about it. Those of us that have demanding kids and lives tend to do our own therapy with food. I call mine Chocolate Therapy. It works for me sanity but does a number on my bootie :) You keep up the momentum, Claudia!! You are inspirational!
