Recently we have been trying to figure out a good plan for Mike. We want to help him, but he only comes to us while he is in crisis and when he is not he disregards our wishes and is snippy at best.
Today I tried to contact him via his my space to let him know that he had mail here from his Probation Officer and that he should call our cell phones or post a response as to when and where we could meet him instead of calling the house.
He responded, "try not to talk to me like im some sort of an associate." I responded that i was trying to just be factual so that he would not find a way to be rude. I heard nothing back.
We have let him know that we are willing to help him, but right now he is not desperate. When he is not desperate he is flippant, sarcastic, and rude. Next time he is desperate he will want something immediately - not a plan for the future, but cash NOW to get him to the next point where he can find someone new to manipulate until he wears them out and he's desperate again.
Even when we try, it gets us nowhere.
So this is why we find it difficult to try.
