In about 40 minutes it will be time for everyone to be awakened and we will participate in a mad rush to get everyone ready and out the door to go visit John. It is about a 2 hour trip and we will have to take two vehicles as 7 of the kids are going along.
John is at a crucial point right now or we might not be making the trip. With gas prices the way they are it will be a considerable expense. But he has been at the group home for a little over two weeks and still doesn't have a job. He does not do well with unstructured time and needs to be kept busy. He is bored and listless and has already mentioned once that he might just walk out the day he turns 18.
So we'll go and see if our visit can help improve his attitude and turn this around a little bit.
When we return it's supper at Mike and Kari's. Looks like it will be a busy day, but ending it on the patio behind there house can't anything but a good time.
