Ain't No Cure for the Summer Time Blues

Transition Meltdown Report:

Last night: 10 year old, huge tantrum, broke bedroom window
13 year old -- screaming fit lasting more than 30 minutes

This morning: Sick Daughter, had to do paper route
10 year old who hasn't been able to get up for school for months because "his medicine makes him too tired"
was found...
on his bike,
6:30 in the morning,
heading down the highway as I did the paper route.

I send him home. I show up at home 20 minutes later and he has a screaming fit.
Wakes up everyone.

Almost everyone out of bed earlier than they would have been on a school day.

I can't get in the shower becuase it's already in use at 6:50 a.m.
in the summer.

Porn site options appearing on internet...
Pop missing.
Mysterious food items showing up in unexpected places.

10 year old has new meltdown this morning.

I soothe him by leading him to the computer and gently urging him to become
electronically stimulated.

I know, bad parenting.

Kids fighting. People arguing about what's for breakfast.

7:45 and I'm exhausted already.

I think there are 93 days of summer left...
