I Don't Like it When People Tell Me What To Do
After three 8th grade conferences, preceded by paying for and taking pictures, and writing checks for lunch money, and buying activities passes (lots of checks!) we went to lunch. Bart and I took the six kids who start school tomorrow out for Mexican food.
During it I was telling Bart a story that concluded with the words "I don't like it when people tell me what to do." We went on to talk about that situation and then started another conversation about how big all the kids were getting. As we looked down the table we saw the 4 kids who will soon be Jr. Highers.... thinking back to when Sadie and Tony were 4. They are now 13 and we have since added Ricardo (14) and Leon (13) to our family. They are acting like teenagers these days and the fun days of pushing them on swings in the park have been traded in for rides to the mall to hang out with their friends.
As I was going down memory lane in my mind and talking to Bart about other things, Wilson says: "Mom, take my picture!"
I pulled out my Iphone, and right before I snapped the shot he said, "See! You like it when I tell you what to do."
And then he flashed this grin. Such a little imp.

Wilson is just too dang cute for your own good isn't he!!! I noticed that even Sadie was smiling. Did you get over the cell phone deal? You and Bart are doing a good thing. Blessings to both of you!
I love these kinds of posts. I try to figure out what restaurant you are eating in. I know where you are. :-)
