Just do it with me for a month

It's been a while since I've set New Month's Resolutions and I am disappointed that I stopped doing them because they were helping me quite a bit. So my only New Year's Resolution is to do at least one New Month Resolution every month in 2009. Would you care to join me?

I like monthly resolutions better because it is easier not to give up so quickly. A year is a long time to do something. 31 days isn't so long. So, I invite you to set one with me and leave it the comments section. You can blog it as well, but please put a link to your entry in the comments section.

I am going to set just two this month:

1) To get my computer organized so I have more disk space. I really need to delete some things and make some progress with that.

2) To work out at least 5 times a week for the month of January. Of course, this week is almost over, so I have to give myself some grace, but starting Monday .....

What is everyone else going to do? Come on, it'll be fun. really it will....

I was just thinking today when I was out on my run that you have not posted your monthly resolutions in a while. And that you have been a wonderful inspiration to me when it comes to monthly resolutions, and so I wanted to say THANK YOU. You helped me remember that I don't have to change my whole life at one time, that I CAN make a difference with one, or two, or three tiny little changes in the course of a month. Thanks to you, I got off my couch this year, and started working out (in August). As of today, I've lost 15 lbs and gone from a size 18 to a size 12. I run 15-25 miles per week. This despite having 6 kids (one with PTSD, RAD, etc) between the ages of 4-12, including 2 that are homeschooled. I haven't posted my January goals yet, but will later today. My workout goals will be at and my life goals will be at

I'm in! Let's do resolutions every month. I participated with you on this in the past and it was actually very helpful to me (and less intimidating than making year's resolutions).

I agree monthly goals are much better than yearly ones. Baby steps. I heard a great New Year's Resolution a few years ago, simply "Drink more water." So that's the resolution. But the goals... I need to ponder that a little bit more and will post them later today at

I'm in! This month, I am organizing my fabric and getting my bedroom situated (FINALLY). This is such a great idea. I stalled out last year, too, when we got our newest son. I posted my resolution here:

Okay, I'm stealing Chelley's - deep clean and ORGANIZE! I also hate it but it must be done. Maybe in February I'll dust off my treadmill.

For the month of January I give up fast food!!
