I've been reading your blog for a couple of months (thinking maybe I might want to be a foster mom some day when I grow up - er, when my husband and I get out of graduate school). Thanks very much for sharing on your blog!
My feedback on your web site (other than that it is warm and inviting and I look forward to your book) is that most people who arrive at a site quickly scan for a "contact us" and an "about us" or "about this site" button along the top or bottom of a home page. This is true even if this same information is available in 1,000 different ways in 1,000 other places. So I recommend that you add those links to your home page.
There is a great book about web site usability/design called "Don't Make Them Think" and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
