Last week when we were away, Bart and I came up with a plan. The lunch hour here is quite chaotic during the summer. A lot of bickering and arguing between the kids and I can hardly stand it. Either option is bad -- either I let them fix their own lunch and try to work while they argue, or I help them with lunch and they argue with me. Bart, on the other hand, loves to feed the family, so he doesn’t mind.
I told him, “I hate lunch time bad enough that if you were willing to come home and take care of it, I would go to the YMCA and exercise.”
So we’ve done that this week and it has worked wonders.
But today so many things have happened here that I can’t possibly blog them. John, it turns out, hasn’t taken all of his meds because he’s been telling us that Kyle was watching him take them. So, he’s out of sorts, argumentative, explosive, and annoying. He is rude to me and sucks out all of my energy so quickly.
He is off today (having worked lunch hours the past 2 days) and I am counting the minutes until I can go exercise.
If you know how much I hate exercising, you have to know that things have got to be pretty stressful if I’m counting the minutes until I can go to the Y...
