First we went to Sarah's beautiful home and had Spaghetti torte, a spinach, garbanzo bean, and feta cheese salad, and some bruschetta with freshly picked herbs of some kind on them. (Sarah, if you would have blogged about this you could have done a much better job than I). Then we had fresh fruit with canola filling and almond topping. As you can imagine, it was fabulous. Yolie, CJ, Sarah, Bart, Cindy and I ate while Nando, Tabby and Ray Ray played at our feet (well in the living room). It was relaxing and the food was delicious. (and the kids are cuter than their pictures, truly).
Then we went over to Cindy's where we got a semi-tour of her huge home and met LOTS of kids, grandkids, even house guests. We got to visit for another couple hours before we had to leave. Of course, we were big and white, so some of the kids avoided us, most likely mistaking us for social workers showing up to move them. But we got to see a couple kids in their whitey tidy briefs so I don't think everyone was treating us like company.
It was so good to be with Cindy and to see her world in the flesh and meet her kids. Edgar was as charming as y'all think he might be and the kids are adorable. They were perfectly well behaved.
We left even a little jealous of all of Cindy's space, especially being out in the country where nobody can hear or see them.
