Three weeks ago, Sadie decided that she was going to earn enough money for a portable DVD player. The one she had her heart set on costs $133 (including tax). At $4 an hour doing chores for me, that’s a LOT of hours.
But 6 minutes ago she achieved her goal. Oh, I was tempted to reward her along the way by giving her extra, but I decided her greatest reward would be earning every penny she spent.
She is so proud of herself -- she thought it was an impossible mission but she did it!
