And the Plot Thickens

I’m swamped but wanted to take time to let you know that after putting some pieces together, we realized that the 13 year old WAS here last night at least for a couple hours because Mike showed up at school with a kid who looked just like him to see if he could be a visitor there.

I spent an hour on the phone trying to find out what we could do to keep the younger kids in the community safer. Mike is spiraling down because he thinks he has nothing to lose. My discovery was basically this: there is nothing we can do, the court hearings from the offenses are probably weeks down the road, maybe even months, and the only suggestion anyone could make was that next time he is arrested make them put him in JDC and refuse to let him come home. We don’t want another CHIPS but we also don’t want some dumb 13 year old kid getting killed in a car while Mike is driving it because nobody will do anything to stop him. We sure can’t -- can’t tie him up or lock him in and he absolutely refuses to comply with anything we ask. In 117 days he will be a legal adult and be in huge trouble for getting kids who are at his developmental age (12 and 13) in trouble with him as he goes on his crime sprees.

Also heard that John is already messing up -- has already skipped a class at school and he has only been in his foster home for nine days.

And Dominyk’s meds are so off that the school is going nuts. He was doing better at home, so we assumed things were better at school but they are even worse than before.

And of course, we’re both leaving town for a few days... AND I’m swamped trying to get ready for the trip.

Wanna be me?
