We went to court. We appeared cooperative. Both cases will be transferred to our new county. The hearings were much more painless than we had anticipated. We had prepared written statements and we read the one for Mike’s hearing. Bart summarized the one for John’s.
Mike asked to come home. The judge quoted the therapist who had basically stated there was no point in investing any more time and energy in reuniting our family. He made no recommendation about contact with Mike. Right now we will be having contact in writing only. It’s hard to know what to do with him as he doesn’t realize how much pain he causes when he manipulates people into casting the blame for his issues onto us as parents.
But right now, since I’m on vacation, I’m going to take a nap. I hardly slept at all last night. More later.
